Chatka przy Jatkach Restaurant

Privacy and cookie policy

Below we explain who is responsible for the personal data collected in connection with this website, why we process it and what rights you have. We also describe the cookies used on the website. The binding version of this policy is the Polish one; this is a translation for our guests.

1. Data controller

The controller of personal data is Bracia Bloch s.c., ul. Szybowcowa 19, 54-130 Wrocław, Poland, NIP (tax ID) 894 314 44 84 — the company running the Chatka przy Jatkach restaurant, ul. Odrzańska 6-7, 50-113 Wrocław. For matters concerning personal data please contact us at kontakt@chatkaprzyjatkach.pl.

2. What data we process and why

  • Contact by e-mail and phone — when you write to or call the restaurant, we process the data you provide (e.g. your name, e-mail address, phone number, the content of your message) in order to reply and handle your enquiry, e.g. about a reservation, an event or a group offer. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract and its performance) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest — handling correspondence).
  • Reservations via TheFork — the “Book a table” button opens the external reservation service TheFork. The data you enter in the reservation form is processed by the operator of TheFork in accordance with its privacy policy, available on the TheFork website (www.thefork.com) and in the reservation window. We receive the data needed to handle the reservation from TheFork and use it only for that purpose (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Visit statistics (Google Analytics) — only if you give your consent in the cookie bar (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Details in section 5.

Providing data is voluntary, but without it we cannot reply to your message or accept a reservation.

3. How long we keep data

We keep data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was provided (replying to a message, handling a reservation or an event), and then for the period required by law or until any possible claims become time-barred. Data processed on the basis of consent — until consent is withdrawn.

4. Recipients of data

Data may be passed to entities providing technical services for us: the provider of website hosting and e-mail, the operator of the TheFork reservation service and, if you consent to statistics, Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics). Google may also process data outside the European Economic Area, as described in Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We do not sell data or share it for marketing purposes.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. On this website we use:

  • Necessary cookies — the chatka_zgoda cookie remembers your choice in the cookie bar (for 12 months). People logged in to the website’s admin panel (restaurant staff) also use WordPress login cookies. These cookies do not require consent.
  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics — only after you click “Accept”. They tell us the total number of visits and the most viewed pages. Google then stores the _ga and _ga_… cookies; their storage period is set by Google in its documentation. Without your consent Google Analytics is not loaded at all.

The Google map on the Contact page loads only after you click the “Map” button; from then on Google may set its own cookies under its own rules. The links to Facebook and Instagram are ordinary links — these services are not embedded on the website.

You can change your decision at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page or delete cookies in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before its withdrawal.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, to object to processing based on our legitimate interest and to withdraw your consent at any time. Simply write to kontakt@chatkaprzyjatkach.pl.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl) if you believe that the processing of your data infringes the GDPR.

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling.

7. Changes

We may update this policy, e.g. when the services used on the website change. The current version is always available on this page. Last updated: 17 October 2026.
